Who Was Dorothy?
Dorothy S. Wright, affectionately called “Dot", was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a dedicated educator for over 30 years and was very active in the Atlanta community. Dorothy served faithfully at her church, First St. Peter A.M.E., as well as her alma mater, Morris Brown College. Moreover, she was a member of The Red Hat Society, an organization that works to change women's lives daily. By nature, Dorothy was a giver in all forms whether it was her time, talent, service, or advice. In her retirement, she loved to travel and made it a point to collect bells from every city visited.
On January 31, 2016, en route to church, Dorothy and her grandchildren, Cameron Costner and Layla Partridge, were tragically taken from us as a result of a high-speed chase.
To emulate her legacy and keep her giving spirit alive, it is our desire to help ease a family's burden when faced with the loss of a child.
